Professional Services Consultant

Service-now.com, a San Diego County based software development company, is seeking technical post-sales implementation consultants to support the customization and implementation of our On Demand software solution with our growing customer base.

Responsibilities

The Professional Services Consultant will be responsible for on-site and remote support of a customer’s implementation. This is a consulting role with a heavy slant toward the technical aspects of a deployment.

Skills

Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JavaScript, Web Services, etc.):
-  Knowledge of LDAP/active directory /LDAP-S
-  Connectivity: VPN, SSL, SMTP
-  Discovery Service: SNMP
-  CMDB and Asset Management Services: Business Services and Configuration Item
    relationships. Tools: Microsoft SMS, LANDesk, Altiris, HP AssetCenter, IBM MRO,
    CA Argis, BMC Atrium

Consulting:
-  Able to inspire customer confidence through professional presence, self-confidence,
    and resolving technical issues
-  Ability to multi-task and work several accounts simultaneously
-  Demonstrated ability to influence and consult, through prior experiences that show ability to help
    others solve business and/or technical problems
-  Self-starter with the ability to assume leadership and work without direct supervision

Experience

The ideal candidate will have in excess of five years of proven implementation experience with ITSM solution, a background in the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) business process, and working knowledge of IT operations. Past work experience with industry leading providers of help desk, IT service management, asset management, network and systems management or similar technologies a definite plus.

This role is heavily dedicated to working directly with customer system administrators and will require frequent travel. The ideal candidate needs to have very strong communication skills, know how to set appropriate expectations with the customer and the company and be comfortable working in IT shops from 5 people to the hierarchy of a Fortune 100 company.

The Professional Services Consultant will represent the customer’s requirements throughout the implementation lifecycle. Therefore the Professional Services Consultant must be able to articulate complex solutions to Service-now.com’s development and support teams for resolution or advancement to enhancement request.

The Professional Services Consultant will be paired with an Engagement Manager to ensure that implementation services are well defined and will act as a single point of contact for the customer and Service-now.com resources.
