Flexible Deployments

Service-now.com may be deployed either as a 100% hosted service or on premise at the customer’s data center, on the customer’s infrastructure.

With a hosted deployment, the customer simply logs on via any browser, customizes and uses the applications. Under this model, Service-now.com is responsible for the monitoring, maintenance and availability of the business service, including all upgrades. There is no hardware, software, middleware, databases, or business intelligence tools to buy, install, maintain, and upgrade. There is no client software to install or maintain.

When deployed on customer infrastructure, Service-now.com retains responsibility  for the applications (monitoring, maintenance and upgrades), operating system and database. The customer assumes responsibility for the hardware and network gear. We continue to deliver the benefits of SaaS to the on premise deployment by providing monitoring, maintenance and automatic upgrades with new functionality allowing you the flexibility to choose where your instance resides.
